Tree-athlon at Root for Trees Fest

Tree-athlon? It’s the only race of its kind in Edmonton! This tree-mendous race for kids eight to twelve will take place during the annual Root for Trees Fest on June 1 at Goldbar Park. All racers will run 0.5 or 1 km, plant a tree, and water it before crossing the finish line. Registration is limited.
After the race, you are cordially invited to enjoy tree planting, crafts, tree giveaways, educational exhibitors, and much more while learning how to get involved with growing Edmonton’s urban forest.

Race # 1 (1 km distance) for children ages 8 – 12 begins at 11:00 am
Maximum 50 participants.
Race # 2 (1 / 2 km distance) for children ages 1 – 7 begins at 11:30 am
Activities go until 2:00
