Events Description

Experience the wonder of Elk Island’s night sky in the quiet beauty of winter.

In the heart of the Beaver Hills Dark Sky Preserve, strap on snowshoes for a guided hike and gaze upon the countless stars in our galaxy with a friendly park interpreter. Register in advance and meet at the Astotin Recreation Area in Elk Island National Park.

What to bring:

Headlamp or flashlight with a red light or red filter
Snow/ski pants
Appropriate winter clothing; be prepared for two hours outside in cool evening conditions.

Tickets : $29.80, plus a valid park pass

$29.80, plus a valid park pass. A park pass may be purchased upon entry to the park but registration must be completed prior to attending a program.
