Events Description

Celebrate New Year’s Eve with the whole family. Enjoy a variety of free indoor and outdoor activities. From remote control bobsled races, sports activities and crafts to snowshoeing, sleigh rides and snow and ice sculptures – there’s fun for everyone. And of course, enjoy the traditional countdown to New Year’s with a fireworks display at Broadmoor Lake Park.

Dress in layers to enjoy indoor and outdoor activities including snowshoeing, remote control bobsled races, indoor snowboarding, crafts, The Hockey Circus Show, skating and more! Warm up with hot chocolate and satisfy your sweet tooth with cabane à sucre.

This year the wagon rides are FREE and are located beside the Sherwood Park Arena. Make sure to pick up your timed tickets beforehand at the Recreation Administration Office or inside at the Festival Place information booth during the event.

Healthy non-perishable food donations for the Strathcona County Food Bank are encouraged.

FREE Transit Park ‘N Ride at the Bethel Transit Terminal beginning at 3:30 p.m. Buses will run every fifteen minutes to Broadmoor Lake Park and back. The last shuttle is at 8:45 p.m.

Festival Way is closed from 3 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on December 31 (local traffic only).
