Discover 11 Edmonton Home Architectural Styles by Aeris Osborne’s 1st Solo Art Exhibition – YEG Old Houses.
Aeris Osborne is an emerging Hong Kong – Canadian visual artist, in residence at McLuhan House Artist Studio, Edmonton. It is her desire to use the bold impressionist style of painting to transform Edmonton’s historic old houses that were built from the 1900s to the 1930s into an art form.
11 Architecture Styles In 7 Mature Neighborhoods after doing some research about Edmonton heritage history, she learned YEG old houses were built with various architecture styles, i.e. Classical Revival, Tudor Revival, Georgian/Jacobethan Revival, Revival French Provincial, Spanish Colonial, Arts & Crafts, Victorian.
Each painting will be named by the neighborhood name and architecture style, with a short description and house photograph displayed during the exhibition. It will allow the public to connect the painting between community, art, and heritage. This exhibition, it will also display other Aeris’s paintings as well.
