Live bands will bring Afrobeat and traditional sounds to life, creating a festive atmosphere for all ages. And don’t miss the dance processions — you’ll want to join in!
- Educational Experiences: Explore the History Wall, take in keynote speeches from community leaders and culture bearers, and visit the artifact exhibition to learn about Yoruba history and its connection to other cultures, including Indigenous communities in Canada.
- Flavors of Yoruba Cuisine: Come hungry! The food area will be packed with delicious dishes like Jollof Rice, Amala with Ewedu, Moi Moi, and much more. Grab a Puff-Puff snack or sip on refreshing Zobo as you stroll through the grounds. There’ll also be cultural cooking demos and a community BBQ to bring everyone together.
- Arts, Crafts & Community Market: Shop handmade crafts, books, musical instruments, and cultural keepsakes at the Mini Trade Fair. Whether you’re picking up a beaded bracelet or a traditional drum, each item tells a story.
