Events Description
Every place has a story. This one includes you.
For thousands of years, people have gathered where the Alberta Legislature now stands to meet, trade, live, and be.
Journey back in time to its formation over 12,000 years ago to explore the transformation from Glacial Lake Edmonton to what we know today, and everything in between. This brand-new exhibition examines how Alberta’s people and their Legislature have grown and changed together, as well as the formation of our province, our government, and our centre of democracy.
Discover intriguing details about Alberta’s first day as a province, our connection to the Minnesota State Capitol, the smudging of the Mace, parliamentary traditions, the Palm Room and so much more.
