The Historic “Bay Race”
Hamilton’s Around the Bay Road Race is the oldest on the continent, first run in 1894, three years before the Boston Marathon. Rich in tradition, it has been won by the best from around the world, including Boston Marathon winners and Olympic gold medalists. Become part of the continuing tradition by running this challenging course around Hamilton’s natural harbour!
Who is it for?
2K, 5k, 10K, or 15K — There are no course or age restrictions.
30k and/or The Hammer Race — You must be at least 15 years of age on March 25, 2021 to participate in the 30k and/or The Hammer Race.

Virtual Race
VIRTUAL RACE PERIOD – March 30 11:59pm – April 30 11:59pm, 2026
Results submitted by 11:59pm on April 30, 2026 will be eligible for the virtual racer’s package, virtual results posted, and medal personalization on applicable medals. If you do not submit virtual results, a virtual race package is not sent automatically. Virtual participants who complete their race outside of the virtual race period can request the racer’s package by emailing info@bayrace.com.
