Add some whimsy to your winter nights and plan your visit to Mountsberg’s award-winning display of outdoor lights at Winterlit. Enjoy a moonlit stroll along two different trails featuring sustainably sourced, illuminated art installations.
This unique evening out is a celebration of nature, winter, and community.
Over the Family Day long weekend, kids 14 and under can enjoy the wonders of Winterlit for FREE and get a complimentary hot chocolate!
All visits are 2 hours in length starting at 5:30pm in December and January and starting at 6:00pm in February.
What to Expect
- Stroll Winterlit’s two trails with sustainable, illuminated art installations
- Relax beside the Fireside Lounges
- Chill out at the licensed Winterlit Glow Bar
- Listen to live music in a magical woodland setting
- Savour delicious treats
- Be amazed by the talented fire and light performances provided by Dispatch Talent
- Add candle making and create your own beeswax candle to take home as a souvenir
- Take home a wood branded souvenir of your visit
- Art in the Park: Make your own work of art to display at the park or take home. Your fee for this activity goes to our Animal Care Fund and supports our farm animals, raptors, and native snakes.
Enchanted Evenings
To light up your New Year’s and Valentine’s Day, Winterlit will be hosting special Enchanted Evenings with licensed bar, additional live music, entertainment, and activities like candle making on December 31, 2025, and February 14, 2026. Add an Enchanted Evening to your reservation to celebrate these memorable holidays with the ones you love!
What to expect at Winterlit Enchanted Evenings:
- Enjoy two twinkling trails — the Illuminated Sugar Bush (~1 km) and the Winterlit Trail (~1 km)
- Admire sustainably sourced, illuminated art installations
- Get cozy by Fireside Lounges located throughout the event
- Bring a book to swap for a “new to you” read in our cozy ‘Book Nook’
- Play board games at the ‘Book Nook’
- Learn all about the animals that call Mountsberg home in ‘The Den’
- Take home a wood branded souvenir of your visit
