Columbia Icefield Discovery Centre is the visitor’s centre, located opposite Columbia Icefield. The visitor’s centre building is a ‘Green’ building, with many environmentally friendly features.
The building completely shuts down in winter.
Columbia Icefield Centre also houses a small museum(discovery centre) and Glacier view inn.

Discovery Centre is also the departure/arrival point for the free shuttle that takes visitors to & from the Glacier Skywalk.

Located in Jasper National Park on the Icefields Parkway, 4 km from Sunwapta Pass , the Columbia Icefield Discovery centre is ~ 104 km from Jasper town, ~128 km from Lake Louise and 49 km from Saskatchewan river crossing. The visitors centre is located on the opposite side of the Columbia Icefield.
