Doors Open London is an event presented by the London Heritage Council. During the event weekend which usually happens each September, the public is treated a chance to explore the many museums, heritage sites, and organizations around the city FREE of charge. Londoners, Newcomers, and visitors alike are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity to learn more about the city from this unique perspective.
In 2026, Doors Open London celebrates 25 incredible years of opening doors and sharing stories.
Marking a major milestone, next year’s event—happening September 19 & 20, 2026—invites Londoners to join in the celebration with the theme Cheers to Years: Celebrating 25 Years Together.
Expect a weekend full of engaging experiences including live performances, interactive demonstrations, guided tours, and historical re-enactments. From the transformation of local industries to the repurposing of beloved heritage buildings, this anniversary year shines a light on how London has continually adapted to meet the needs of its people.
Arts and cultural organizations will also showcase how creativity continues to bring Londoners together—fostering connection, self-expression, and a shared sense of place.
