Celebrate the last day of school and the start of summer with a weekend full of fun at the London Children’s Museum!
From dancing with beach balls and exploring cool science to building, creating, and sharing your summer plans, each space invites children and their grown-ups to move, make, and play together. Try something new, revisit familiar favourites, and discover new ways to play as we welcome the start of summer.

Liquid Nitrogen: Super “Cool” Science!
Watch, wonder, and discover!
Get ready for a super “cool” science experience as we explore the amazing properties of liquid nitrogen through a live demonstration! Watch everyday objects freeze, shrink, and change in surprising ways as we discover how extreme temperatures can transform materials.
Time: 12:00pm–12:30pm
Curator’s Corner: POG-o-rama!
Slam, flip, and play to win!
Step into the museum’s collection and explore a favourite childhood trend from the 90s: POGs! Challenge friends and family to see who can slam, flip, and stack their way to victory in this hands-on, playful throwback.

Design it, test it, and watch it fly through summer skies!
Design and build your own kite using simple materials, then take it for a spin and see how it moves through the air! Experiment with shape, balance, and structure as you create, decorate, and get your design ready for summer skies!

Beach Ball Dance Party
Bounce, toss, and dance it out!
Step into a playful space filled with beach balls, pool inflatables, music, and summer energy. Move, groove, and play together as you dance through a room ready for big, joyful movement and a little bit of silliness.

Open Studio: Beatmakers
Mix, play, and make some noise!
Drop into the Discovery Lab to experiment, become a producer and create your own summer soundtrack! Using science and Makey Makeys, visitors will turn every day objects into musical buttons and experiment with voice modulation to make their own beats.
