Vessels gather in Port Colborne each Civic holiday weekend, for a four-day celebration of history and heritage along the canal. Explore the decks, try your hand at the wheel, or feel the spray as you cruise the Empire Sandy Tall Ship on Lake Erie.
The Canal Days Marine Heritage Festival encompasses the entire community, with activities at a dozen different venues.
Bring the whole family to see International Kite Flyers showcase their ariel works of art and skill. Home of the original “Aquarium in the Sky” featuring octopi, manta ray and fishes the size of school buses.
The VALE Health & Wellness Centre hosts Ontario’s Largest outdoor Classic Car Show.
The Port Colborne Optimist Club will once again host its 13th Annual Canal Days Indoor Craft Show. Unique handmade crafts, artwork, dolls, candles and much more on display and on sale from 75 Southern Ontario vendors.
The Seaway Park Tim Horton’s Kids Zone has games, entertainment and kid’s activities throughout the weekend.
Canal Days at the Port Colborne Historical & Marine Museum is your destination for marine displays and photographs as well as railway and ship models. Enjoy the Great Lakes Model Boat Association’s remote control boat show in action and the Niagara Antique Power Association’s demonstrations from corn shucking to steam whistles. Watch artisans demonstrate their skills in blacksmithing, woodcarving, spinning, and rope ladder-making throughout the heritage village. The whole family can enjoy some toe-tapping live music under a canopy of shade. Travel back to the Middle Ages when you visit Blackthorn Productions Medieval Education & Entertainment.
At the Roselawn Centre Saturday offers Jazz on the Lawn, presented by Port Colborne Marine Terminal.
Festival food and shopping kiosks fill historic West Street, and the Scotiabank Patio on West features local entertainment all day and night.
The Canal Days Concert Series at H.H. Knoll Lakeview Park, features top notch entertainment nightly.
Hosted by the Sugarloaf Sailing Club Inc and presented by Canada Steamship Lines, upwards of 20 boats sail the Welland Canal as a pre-show to the Sunday evening Fireworks Spectacular along Historic West Street during Canal Days Boat Parade of Lights & Fireworks Spectacular. RedBoss Fireworks designs a big, colour and bright fireworks display – a true family affair in the City of Port Colborne!

Canal Days Boat Parade of Lights & Fireworks Spectacular: Sunday, August 4, 2019 at 10 PM. The night lighted boat parade is held prior to the start of the fireworks and once the St. Lawrence Seaway Authority clears the canal then fireworks will start.
NAPA Canal Days Car Show: Sunday, August 4, 2019 at 8 AM – 5 PM @ Vale Health & Wellness Centre, 550 Elizabeth St, Port Colborne.
