Big sound with a big personality! The Phoenix Big Band’s all-original music blends elements of blues, jazz, funk, rock, Latin, and reggae into a toe-tapping celebration. The eight-piece band, featuring its dynamic horn section, was founded in 2009 and regularly lights up the Atomic Rooster on Bank Street for their devoted fanbase. Their infectious tunes and lyrics will take you on a journey from fantastical stories to comedy grounded in real life, and will leave you with a smile on your face and a rhythm in your step.
Proceeds from this event will help support the Ottawa Food Bank, a crucial part of the band’s community. Audience members are encouraged to give generously and help The Phoenix Big Band make a difference.
