AfroFestival Ottawa is a free annual Music and Arts Festival that showcases the very best of African culture and entertainment in Canada’s Capital Region.
This festival provides all Canadians with an opportunity to experience the beauty, diversity, and richness of African culture through music, dance, art, food, fashion, storytelling, and cultural exchange.
Now entering its 7th year, AfroFestival Ottawa has become one of the fastest-growing cultural festivals in Canada. In 2025, more than 20,000 attendees joined us at Mooney’s Bay Beach for an unforgettable weekend of performances, food, culture, and community. This year, we are expanding to a 3-DAY FESTIVAL EXPERIENCE, making AfroFestival Ottawa 2026 our biggest celebration yet.
The festival creates opportunities for local artists, entrepreneurs, cultural organizations, and small businesses while promoting diversity, inclusion, tourism, and community engagement.
