Events Description

The Mississippi Madawaska Land Trust (MMLT) is hosting a day of woodland fun, a fantastic opportunity for families to participate in nature-inspired Scavenger Hunts.

Our theme this year is “One Small Step.” Every journey begins with one small step. In nature, everything grows one step at a time – an acorn sprouts into a seedling and becomes a mighty oak, tadpoles lose their tails and develop legs to become frogs, and caterpillars emerge from their cocoons as beautiful butterflies.

Expect a mix of returning favourites — like the Storybook Tent, Magical Fairies, and Pond Life — along with some exciting new activities in the works. As always, local experts will be on hand to guide you along the trails and lead hands-on experiences that spark curiosity and joy.
