Events Description
Join Ottawa Fire Services at Cumberland Heritage Village Museum for a day of family-friendly fun! Watch exciting demonstrations and see firefighting equipment up close. While on site, discover all that Cumberland Heritage Village Museum has to offer. Explore life in a 1920s and 30s rural village, visit the farm animals, see heritage tradespeople at work, and check out the museum’s Fire Hall exhibition, featuring a 1927 fire truck. Bonus! In celebration of the museum’s 50th anniversary, Ottawa Fire Services have invited their fellow first responders, the Ottawa Police Service and the Ottawa Paramedic Service, to display the vehicles and equipment they use each day.
The museum’s canteen will be open, offering snacks and drinks for purchase (cash/debit/credit), and a BBQ will be offered by the Lions Club (cash only). Please note that there is no ATM on site.
