Gleanings – The Beams are Cracking

“The Beams Are Creaking” is the inspiring, powerful, true story of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, the German theologian who defied the Nazis and ultimately led an assassination attempt against Hitler. This compelling drama captures the Bonhoeffer legend on a rich theatrical canvas without ever sacrificing the very human story at the base of it. Part political thriller, part love story, leavened with moments of humor, and filled with a compassion that reaffirms one’s faith in man.

Gleanings is a forum for nuanced discussion about complex ideas and issues relating to arts and culture, theology, and the social sciences. The dramatic staged reading is followed by a facilitated discussion with the audience and special topical guests to explore important questions and themes from the art.
