Mimi O’Bonsawin, a contemporary folk and roots singer-songwriter, represents various traditions with her original rhythms and story-driven songs. Drawing on her Franco-Ontarian and Abenaki roots, she transports audiences to the heart of the forest with her intoxicating melodies and introspective lyrics.
Layers of percussion, punctuated by surprising yet enchanting harmonies, make you feel the music rather than just hear it.

This English language performance is presented by Shenkman Arts Centre at 2:00 pm as part of the Matinée Café series. MIFO will present a French language show at 7:30 pm.
