Under the direction of Artistic Director and Principal Conductor Mary Blais, the Concert Band of Kanata brings together more than 60 musicians from across the Ottawa region to celebrate the joy of live concert band music.
This concert shines a spotlight on Canadian composer and arranger Robert (Bob) Buckley, whose music has delighted audiences around the world. In addition to performing several of his best known works, the band will present the world premiere of Jukebox!, a new piece commissioned by CBoK, with Bob Buckley himself in attendance for the occasion.
Community has always been at the heart of the Concert Band of Kanata, and this special performance offers a chance to share that spirit on a larger stage. Whether you’re a long-time supporter of community music or simply looking for a lively and memorable afternoon out, this concert promises something for the whole family.
