Events Description
Ottawa Fringe returns for another 11 days of over-the-top and unforgettable performances. With 62 original refined productions, experimental performances, and featuring artists from right here in Ottawa and across the globe, Ottawa Fringe has never been funkier. From the hilarious to the heart-wrenching, the musical to the mysterious, and the downright uncategorizable, this is Ottawa’s LOUDEST theatre festival.
The Fringe Courtyard at Club SAW, is our buzzing backyard, late-night hangout spot, and the beating heart of the festival. This year, our much-loved (and FREE) Community Series programming returns, with performances that showcase the rich diversity sprawling across Ottawa. We’re also bringing back fan-favourites like the Silent Disco (Saturday, June 20th) featuring DJs Al Connors, K2, and Princess Peach, and Cabar-oke (Saturday, June 27th), featuring Ottawa drag and burlesque sensations China Doll, Ruby Foxglove, and Victoria
Vermouth.
A Fringe Festival is a forum that unites artists and audiences in a fun, exploratory environment.
An open-access festival where 100% of ticket sales go to the artists. Nobody curates the Ottawa Fringe Festival. Ottawa Fringe rents the venues and programs the festival by lottery. Every show is independently produced and more artists get into the program by submitting a Bring Your Own Venue show (BYOV).
