Events Description
The Maple Run Tour is a ‘sweet’ reason to Wander up to Pakenham, just a short drive west from Ottawa via Hwy 417 or from Arnprior and Carleton Place via Hwy 29.
Enjoy spectacular spring landscapes while experiencing the art, fine craft and delicious food and drink of 30 exceptional artists, artisans and producers on this self-guided Tour.
The Tour wanders through scenic, historic Pakenham village and area to fascinating stops, where you can indulge your senses in beautiful painting, pottery, pewter, glass, jewelry, photography, textile art, delicious locally-produced food and drink, and much more.
Our stops are a tour all by themselves – a heritage one-room schoolhouse, one of the oldest general stores in Canada, a fudge shop, a craft brewery, a cider house, a peaceful retreat centre, a clothing design studio and more!
Indulge yourself in a new art treasure, or in locally produced fudge, artisanal coffee, or craft beer (some of it brewed with maple sap!). It’s a perfect time to enjoy Lanark County’s maple syrup season. Try out the local restaurants and bakeries, many who have maple inspired food items for this annual spring celebration.
