Events Description

Pomegranar is an online interactive art gallery. The exhibit opens on March 20, 2021 at 7:30 pm Eastern Time and runs until April 2 for its first series. Viewers will be able to navigate through the gallery in a style similar to an interactive film by pausing or advancing through the exhibit using controls. The gallery consists of artwork and videos created by the artist, Yasaman Nouri, featuring pomegranates and built around the theme of togetherness while apart. Get your virtual hands red and come share this juicy pomegranate with us!

Yasaman Nouri draws on her Persian background in creating this exhibit. Pomegranar is an ongoing series and will repeat in time with the four seasonal Persian holidays starting with Norouz/نوروز (spring equinox), followed by Tirgan/تیرگان (summer solstice) and Mehrgan/مهرگان (autumn equinox). The finale will take place on Shabe Yalda/شب یلدا (winter solstice), the holiday in which pomegranates play an important role in the festival celebrations.

Join the team for an opening night celebration live stream at 7:00 pm leading up to the opening of the event. Follow @pomegranar.gallery on Instagram for updates and the countdown to the event.
