On Saturday, August 22, 2026 from 9-4, Secondhand Stories non-profit Chicken Sanctuary will host their 3rd Annual Open House, welcoming the public to the sanctuary grounds! This event invites families to meet their flock, explore humane education, and enjoy hands-on workshops and activities designed to spark compassion for chickens. Tickets sell out each year, so make sure to save your spot before it’s too late!
Highlights of the event include:

● Vendor marketplace with food options
● Yoga with the chickens
● Children’s story time with the chickens

They kindly ask for a donation of $10/ticket to help them in their efforts to inspire compassion for chickens through rescue, education & advocacy.
