BackwardsNess, our annual Fall Faire at the Ness Creek Site.
BackwardsNess 2025 – Aug 29 & 30 at the Ness Creek Site
Friday: Gates open at 7pm. Set up camp, check in to your cabin, catch up with your friends, and then head to the stage for a game of Music Bingo at 8:30pm! Watch our socials for details. Bar open 8:30pm – 1:00am; personal alcohol must remain at your campsite/cabin.
Saturday: Third & Ness is open for lunch with a BackwardsNess-sized menu. Join the afternoon Games Garden for classics like horseshoes, badminton, and more! Plus – NEW this year – the zucchini race! Build your own race car out of a zucchini and let it rip in a downhill time trial vs your peers. Don’t have access to a garden zucchini? Betcha do! Our epic Pickle Contest is back – to enter, simply bring your jar and $10 (per jar) to the stage upon arrival. The contest runs from 3pm until 5pm, or until we run out of pickles! Your vote matters and tasting/judging is free for everyone! The winner will win glory and accolades from everyone in the land, plus 2 weekend passes to next year’s BackwardsNess, and their name on our trophy
Third & Ness is open again for supper, from 5:00-8:00pm. The Kid’s Movie will start at 8:30pm and the stage is open for socializing before our evening of live music begins! From North Battleford, alt-country rock band Enderby will open the show followed by 2 killer alt-rock sets by Saskatoon’s The Radiant! Evening show runs 10:15 – 1:30am. Bar open 2:00pm – 2:00am; personal alcohol must remain at your campsite/cabin.
We’ll be serving late night baked potatoes with chili (gf/df/vegetarian options) and toppings available for purchase late Saturday evening. And, throughout the weekend we’ll have a selection of local beer, cider, and hard iced tea; plus gin-, vodka-, and rye-based cocktails available for purchase to those 19+.
Play games, win prizes, visit with friends, walk on the trails, there’s time for quiet reflection and lots of dancing!
