Afrofest 2023

Afrofest ignites the spirit of African culture in the heart of Toronto, one of the most culturally diverse cities in the world. Afrofest seeks to share the rich and diverse expressions of African music and culture in an inclusive, vibrant and positive community festival setting. Through Afrofest, a diverse audience celebrates the abundant energy of African music in an effort to cultivate community spirit and enhance the understanding and appreciation of the diverse people of Africa.

As the largest FREE African festival in North America, the traditionally 2-day festival will now take place over the course of 3 days.

Main Stage: This stage will feature performances by established artists. Examples include Jose Chameleone (Uganda), Killer T & Oliver Mtukudzi’s Band +263 Band doing a tribute to Oliver Mtukudzi (Zimbabwe), BM (DR Congo), Salatiel (Cameroon), Slim Flex (Ghana), Exco Levi (Jamaica), Donné Roberts (Madagascar), DOLOTHEGIFTED (Angola), Amanie Illfated (South
Sudan), and Temi (Nigeria).
