Nature-Inspired Afternoons
In this after school program, children explore the vibrant world of birds and plants through art, science, exhibit visits, and outdoor play. Inspired by David Salazar’s: Bird Botanicals exhibit, each week blends creativity with nature discovery.
Weekly Themes:
May 20: Feathered Friends – Bird mask-making, feather science, bird call games.
May 27: Botanical Prints – Leaf printing, nature walk, plant identification.
June 3: Nest Builders – Build nests with natural materials, egg experiments.
June 10: Pollinator Party – Butterfly crafts, pollination relay, garden scavenger hunt.
June 17: Birds & Botanicals Collage – Mixed media art, storytelling with bird characters.
June 24: Nature Journals – Drawing exhibit favourites, nature walk sketches.
