Events Description

Ajax Rotary is pleased to announce Durham Regions’ drive-thru Ribfest!

Ajax Rotary Drivethru Ribfest is back for 2021 this Father’s Day weekend!
Treat Dad to an awesome spread while supporting numerous local and international groups and charities.

The Rotary Club of Ajax wanted to ensure they could still support local community organizations, so the Ajax Rotary Drive-Thru Ribfest was created!

All funds raised go to local charities and community organizations.

Once you enter the Ajax Casino parking lot you will be directed by a Rotary Club member on where to go order your ribs. You can select from 1 of 4 amazing Ribbers who will be on site. Place your order, pay and pick up your ribs. You can then choose from some of our other vendors such as Ontario Corn Roasters and Tiny Tim Donuts.

This is a Drive Thru event only so eating food will not be allowed on site. Drive home to enjoy your amazing dinner! Thanks for supporting local charities!

This is NOT A ROTARY EVENT. This is not for charity, it is a for profit event. Just so you know!!

We do not know about parking. If have not already tried FB, please try contacting through – https://www.facebook.com/ajaxribfest/. It is organised by Northern Heat Rib Series, a for profit company.

    Hi there,

I am a professional henna artist and was wondering if you would like to have someone offer henna tattoos to people attending your event. It would add even more fun and entertainment to a great event. Please let me know if you want me to stop by and see if people might be interested .

    Thanks

Parking is at the Go Train lot before Ajax Hyundai. You can also turn right at the lights after the event and park in the Go Train Parking lot directly behind the event.

We stopped in for some ribs without reading the entrant names. We didn’t recognize them from Pickering Ribfest, so went to the ribber with the most ‘awards’ and line. Kentucky smokehouse ribs were over cooked, dry, stringy with mostly flavourless sauce. Think ‘Griswald’s turkey’ in Chritmas Vacation&. We tried to save them at hone with generous amount of another rib sauce while reheating on the bar-be. Boss Hogs! Where were you?!

I have noticed quality of entertainment portion of ribfest has gone down since Northern Heat has taken over and they manage many ribfests across Ontario.

Is there rides for kids or just inflatables bouncy castles and facepainting?

This was such a disappointment , a small venue , felt cramped. Ribs were dry and tasteless. Seating was poor. No entertainment. $3 for a bottle of water….. come on!!!!! Wouldn’t recommend this event.

We arrived at 4:30pm and waited in line until 5:45pm. We were the next car in line to be served at Uncle Sam ribber when we were told that they had run out off ribs and pulled pork; only chicken left. We were very disappointed since the other two ribbers clearly had lots of ribs. How can you run out of ribs with over 2 hours to go before close. We left without what we came for. I strongly suggest that the low inventory of ribs should have been communicated to the people in line before we make our choice of which line up.
