Expect the unexpected from Welcome Home, Alan Doyle’s fourth full-length solo studio album and 20th overall. While writing his latest as a personal memoir, Doyle found himself influenced by his years with acclaimed folk icons Great Big Sea as well as his time in the much-traveled stages alongside songwriter and 14-time JUNO Award nominee inspiring novel sonic terrain.
Alongside collaborators Jimmy Rankin, Donovan Woods, and Hollywood actor Oscar Isaac, Doyle’s Welcome Home is a genre-spanning, roots-driven, and lyrically vibrant project that draws on Doyle’s rich musical heritage while embracing new sounds and stories.
Doyle’s CV is extensive: he is a three-time published author, a film and TV actor-producer with multiple credits, and a tireless touring musician who has played thousands of shows across North America and beyond.
