Comedy Nuggets presents the Best Damn Stand-Up Comedy Show for an amazing night of laughs!

Every month Luke Lynndale assembles an amazing lineup by inviting three headliners. The show is always hilarious, thought provoking, and silly.

Luke is a Toronto-based, comedian performing stand-up, improv and sketch. He has performed in Comedy Brawl (2017, 2018), Comedian of the North (2019), the Boston Improv Festival (2018), Big City Improv Festival (2013, 2017), World’s Biggest Improv Festival (2016, 2017, 2018), and Best of Toronto Sketch (2018). He is a founding member of DUO DAD (2013-present).

Join us on The Danforth at the Social Capital Theatre’s cozy 2nd floor.

Here is a little about each of the performers in the show.

BEN BANKAS
Ben has performed at the Jewish Comedy Festival, the Cannabis Comedy Festival, 420Toronto at Yonge and Dundas Square, NXNE, Comedy Bar, Thunder Bay Comedy Festival, Second City and was previously a regular comic at The Corner Comedy Club and Absolute Comedy before joining Yuk Yuk’s in 2019. Ben’s ability to connect with a crowd makes him an excellent addition to any show, whether as a host/mc, guest appearance, or feature act.

KEESHA BROWNIE
Keesha Brownie is one of North America’s candid comedians to watch. This Montreal born Canadian with Jamaican Roots has graced comedy clubs across the country. A unique blend of her Canadian & West Indian Heritage in her piercingly comical style and likeable approach has latched on to this year’s 2019 SiriusXM Top Comic completion, 2017 Just For Laughs Festival, Live Taping for Kevin Hart LOL Network, a regular of Best of Absolute Comedy at Toronto’s annual comedy festival JFL42 and most recently, performed at the official pre show for the “100% Fresher Tour” with Adam Sandler and Rob Schneider.

Brownie, ever the working women founded and produced her own comedy series in hometown Brampton, entitled Jokers Corner, she also lent a hand in co producing Canada’s 1 st All Black Canadian Comedy Tour, The Underground Comedy Railroad Tour and headlined the longest running monthly sold out show in Toronto, Kenny Robinson’s Nubian Disciples of Pryor. Whether sharing the stage with the top comics in the comedy world or travelling across North America and the Caribbean Keesha makes you feel as though you been a part of her journey the whole time.

MARITO LOPEZ
Marito is originally from El Salvador, moved to Canada at the tender age of four and has learned to love the English language, white people and snow. Marito started his comedy career back in 2009 in Calgary, Alberta, and now lives in Toronto, Ontario. His fiery, high-energy and charismatic persona has landed him on stages and screens across the country, including appearances at the Hubcap Comedy Festival, NXNE, JFL42, MTV Canada and countless comedy clubs in between. In 2015, in association with his comedy collective Runnin’ At The Mouth, Marito launched a parody rap album, Wit’ My Woes, which went #1 on iTunes. In short, just give Marito a microphone and he’ll bring an audience to their feet.

What are the parking options near The Social Capital?
There is street parking along Danforth Avenue, as well as a Green P parking lot located one block north. To access the Green P parking lot, drive north on Broadview Avenue to Erindale, then turn right.
