Get in the Christmas Spirit at the Christkindl Market presented by Symphony in the Barn and the Friends of Glencolton Farm and Saugeen Academy.
Enjoy the sights and sounds of a European Christmas with traditional European food and baking, local artisans and vendors.
Plus, meet the barnyard animals, children’s activities and great entertainment.
Entertainment & Family Fun
- Messiah amongst the Cows – Symphony in the Barn Orchestra and the Saugeen Bach Choir perform Part One of ‘Handel’s Messiah’ in the barn. Performances are at 8pm both Friday and Saturday night.
- Sam and Robin – returning once again to get you into the christmas mood. In the Pretzel House Friday and Saturday night 5pm-8pm
- Horse drawn Wagon Rides – Oh what fun it is to ride in a one-horse open sleigh! 5pm-8pm each night
- Star Mother – Making a special appearance to young children, she is the messenger from celestial realms. She brings the star light from the cosmos to all. She brings hope. She brings stars to wish upon. She brings a sense of wonder…
- Candle Dipping – Children will be guided in candle making. These beeswax candles make lovely handmade gifts that children delight in sharing with family and friends.
- Woodland Fairy Pond – Who will help the princess? Young children are guided through a simple story adventure. A truly enchanting experience for our littlest heroes and heroines. Don’t miss it!
- Sauntering Band – Saturday at 5:30 and 6:30 on the house stage
- Christmas songs with the accordion in the Barn Friday and Saturday 5pm and 6 pm
- Plus: Incus Forge Blacksmith, chestnut roasting, storytelling, organ grinder, carolling, bannock making, children’s crafts and more.
We are located east of Durham and north of Eckhart’s Shell station (corner of Grey Road 4 and Concession 2) on Concession 2.

All children 18 and under have free entry into the Market, but must buy ticket Messiah amongst the cows.
Messiah amongst the cows – $22.90 to $54.99
Purchase a Patron Mug for a lifetime entry into the market for only $150
