Events Description
This spring, The Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery invites visitors to freely interact with the artworks in Colourful Parachutes: Imagining Alternative Futures Through the Power of Play, a participatory new exhibition opening April 25, 2026.
The show redefines the gallery as a collaborative space where imagination becomes a tool for envisioning and creating alternative futures. Blending fun with critical thinking, visitors are encouraged to climb, swing, and experiment with playful, participatory works that explore youth agency and voice, climate anxiety and environmental awareness, and the power of imagination, collaboration, and collective action.
Featured artists include Temitayo Ogunbiyi, Leisure (Meredith Carruthers & Susannah Wesley), Harold Offeh, Rivane Neuenschwander, Claire Greenshaw, Robin Rhode, Sassa Linklater, Tobias Linklater, and Ana Mendieta. Admission is free and open to all ages.
