Discover the Power of Mantra Recitation is a half-day guided course. Teacher Christine Reeves explains that mantra is a Sanskrit word meaning mind protection, then leads a breathing meditation that pairs the breath with the mantra Om Ah Hum. The course is open to everyone, including complete beginners, and you can sit on a chair or a cushion. The fee is $30 and includes refreshments. Schedule: 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. introduction and guided meditation, 10:45 to 11:05 a.m. refreshments, 11:05 to 11:50 a.m. instruction and guided meditation, 11:50 a.m. to 12:10 p.m. refreshments, and 12:10 to 1:00 p.m. instruction, guided meditation, and questions.
