In conversation with Todd Thicke (Executive Producer and Head Writer of America’s Funniest Videos), Lori reflects on a childhood short on money but rich in all the rest, shaped by an eccentric, ever-optimistic father who failed at everything — except loving his children.
Part reading, part conversation, the evening will move between candid reflection and moments of humour, tracing the road from chaos to reinvention.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Lori Thicke a Canadian author, founder and entrepreneur. She was born in Toronto and raised in a mining town in northern Canada. She earned an MFA in creative writing from the University of British Columbia where she was awarded the CBC Writing Prize for “exceptional promise”. She moved to Paris and founded the largest translation charity in the world.
