Gwartzman’s and the El Mocambo are kicking off summer with Rock & Roll Life Drawing — a fun, come-as-you-are creative afternoon in one of Toronto’s most iconic music venues. We’ll have three amazing models bringing full rock-and-roll energy in bold, theatrical looks, plus plenty of space for you to sketch the neon-lit interior or just do your own thing.
Dress on theme if you’re feeling it, bring your favourite dry media, and stop by Gwartzman\’s for 20% off supplies if you need anything last minute. Every ticket includes a swag bag from some of the best art brands out there, plus you’ll be entered into a big raffle. It’s part drawing session, part art party, and just a really good excuse to make art with friends.

How to get tickets?

Doors open (12pm)
If you already have the supplies you need, check in early at the El Mocambo to scout your seat and start your scavenger hunt. We recommend arriving early to avoid lineups and choose your view point!
Drawing begins (1pm)
Get comfy! Our three costumed models take the stage, changing up positions in a succession of short poses to long poses.
Intermission (2:20pm)*
At the intermission, grab a drink, check out your neighbours’ work and get ready for some longer poses.*
Models return (2:40pm)*
In the second half we’ll jump into longer poses so you can really get into the details of your surroundings.
