Marking the unofficial start to the CNE, HorseCapades at the Horse Palace with a program designed to introduce the young and the young at heart to the magical world of horses. Visitors with little ones can enjoy interactive, educational games and activities such as Guess a Horse’s Weight, learn about a horse’s nutrition and grooming, discover how a horse thinks, acts and reacts, and not-to-be-missed opportunities to pet a variety of horses.

The HorseCapades program once again features the sensational Trick Riding Show: HorsePower Live. Two shows are held daily in the CNE Horse Palace at 11:30am and 1:00pm.

  • Pony Rides
  • Guess a horse’s weight
  • Meet horse friends

During the fair, elements of the HorseCapades program are moved from the Horse Palace to the Farm in the Better Living Centre’s West Side.

Please Note:

  • Pony Rides – A camp staff, parent or guardian must be available to assist their children to mount/dismount the ponies and remain within the pony enclosure during the riding time.
  • This same safety rule will apply to the mechanical horse simulators as well.
  • Day camps, daycares, etc. must ensure proper supervision of all their children in all activity areas while visiting HorseCapades
  • During weekdays there will be a CNE train waiting by the Fountain to drive participants to HorseCapades

Please note: If coming by TTC, it is recommended that you take the 509 Bathurst Streetcar to avoid construction zones and for closest drop off location to HorseCapades.

When arriving at HorseCapades, please be mindful of the traffic located near the Bus Drop Off and as you walk through the CNE grounds. At this time, this area is a construction zone and has a high frequency of traffic.

The HorseCapades shuttle will run Monday to Friday.
