Nearly 120 years after publication, Lucy Maud Montgomery’s red-haired heroine continues to delight and inspire—but the story of her creator remains largely unsung. Join us for the launch of Irene Gammel’s new nonfiction book on October 21, 2025 from 5:30-7:00 PM.
Looking for Anne of Green Gables: Lucy Maud Montgomery and Her Timeless Heroine, is a one-of-a-kind exploration into the elusive author and the making of one of modern fiction’s most beloved characters.
This event is a must for fans of Anne of Green Gables, as well as those interested in the mysterious history of one of Canada’s most popular authors.
