In honour of Women’s History Month, browse the Museum’s story corner featuring books by woman-identifying authors and illustrators. • Gather and Play the Mindful Monster Way: Dive into mindful games and activities during this free March Break program led by Vanessa Evans, founder of B Well Now and Mindful Monsters. Enjoy movement, mindful breathing, drawing, and sensory‑awareness exercises designed to bring everyone into the present moment.
  • Piggy Bank Decorating: Get creative while learning about basic money concepts! Paint a piggy bank and dive into saving, setting goals, and understanding needs versus wants in a way that is easy to follow.
  • Scarborough Scrapbook: Dive into personal connections to Scarborough through movement, memory and creative collage making! Bring personal photographs, family images, everyday photos, or pictures of meaningful neighbourhood places that reflect community experiences, and transform them into scrapbook collages that celebrate identity and shared histories.

Scarborough Museum is set along the walking trails of beautiful Thomson Memorial Park, once the farm fields of Scarborough’s first settlers and now a popular heritage community. The museum shows the history and development of Scarborough from its founding and early settlement to its growth and emergence as a major suburb in the 20th century. The site and its gardens are situated on property first granted to David and Mary Thomson, who settled in Scarborough in the late 1790s.
