Events Description
The Women’s Art Association of Canada’s Dignam Gallery presents The Middle Child, its annual collaboration with students from the joint Art and Art History program at the University of Toronto Mississauga and Sheridan College.
This year’s exhibition features 2026 Rheta D. Fines Scholarship recipients Hannah Prno and Abbey Robilotto, alongside work from their third-year classmates. Prno’s oil and pastel pieces bring expressive, humorous energy to scenes from Southern Ontario’s agricultural world, while Robilotto’s oil paintings reimagine the landscape through a distorted, Spaghetti Western–inspired lens exploring wilderness and uncertainty.
Curated by Prno and Robilotto with their peers, the exhibition gives emerging artists hands-on experience both showing and organizing work in a professional gallery setting — continuing WAAC’s 75+ year commitment to supporting artists early in their careers.
