Events Description

Meet more than 500 home vendors ready to help you make your space, your way. The National Home Show is North America’s largest display of innovative products, new ideas & great deals for all things home & garden.

The Speakers Lounge, presented by the free streaming TV channel Homeful, packs an impressive roster of Canada’s leading designers, industry experts, and familiar faces in home design, renovation and gardening – from Breakfast Television’s resident green thumb, Frankie Flowers, home renovation pioneer and TV personality, Mike Holmes and HGTV Canada’s Sebastian Clovis. To celebrate International Women’s Day and cap off Women in Construction Week, the National Home Show will promote women in skilled trades through educational resources, panels and presentations, including a presentation on March 8th from advocate, contractor and TV personality, Sherry Holmes.

Design fans should also mark their calendars for a themed Cityline Day on Saturday, March 9. Cityline’s award-winning host Tracy Moore, alongside some notable experts from the talk show, Shai DeLuca, Leigh-Ann Perrault Allaire, Sharon Grech, Sarah Gunn and Julia Grieve, will be on hand to cover a variety of home, gardening, food, and lifestyle topics. Also at the Show on Saturday, Glen Peloso will be in the Speakers Lounge sharing the latest trends in home decor and home tech: “nice must haves” vs “nice to haves.” On Sunday March 10, visitors with a green thumb can learn new gardening tips from expert landscape designer and TV personality, Carson Arthur. House & Home Day on Saturday, March 16, will feature design mogul and founder of House & Home Magazine Lynda Reeves, with fan-favourite personality and entrepreneur of TOM Design Studio, Tommy Smythe.

Returning features, such as the DIY Centre, will see Toronto Home Show’s resident design and renovation ambassadors, HGTV Canada’s Desta Ostapyk, Jordan Spear and Mark Rason offer visitors hands-on training and demonstrations to empower confidence and inspiration for all home improvement projects. Also back, Ask A Professional, presented by RenoMark and Reno+Decor Magazine, will offer free 15-minute design consultations.

Visitors are encouraged to bring their plans, sketches and swatches and sign up for great advice. PLUS – Some of Toronto’s top chefs and restaurateurs will be cooking it up on the Outdoor Kitchen Stage, including Asian-fusion chef Nick Liu, owner of the hotspot, DaiLo; Duchess of Sweets and Treats’ Sarah Hoebeke; Brian Misko from House of Q; Porta from the team behind Terroni restaurants; and rising star of Canada’s culinary scene, Adam Lafleur, Chef de Cuisine of Constantine. Adam is also an alumnus of the Humber College School of Culinary Arts, where chefs in training will be showcasing various cooking techniques, knife skills, and recipes daily.

This year’s Show highlights include the Bonneville Homes Feature Home & Backyard Garden Suite, styled by Aspire Design Group, the Green Building Learning Zone, Condo Living Balcony Display, BBC Earth Viewing Lounge, powered by Paradigm, RE/MAX’s Sports Court and Backyard Games area, and Healthy Aging at Home space, a feature dedicated to design ideas and solutions for wellness and independent living at home.
