ROM for the Holidays is back for another year with enhanced programming, live performances, and interactive activities.
Add to that four special exhibitions and re-imagined dinosaur galleries, and this is a holiday tradition you won’t want to miss. Bring your curiosity and enjoy a stress-free day with family and friends.
- LIGHT UP THE SEASON – Daily, 10am to 4pm | Philosopher’s Gallery, Level 1 – Bring light to dark winter days as you craft lanterns inspired by different cultural traditions. Check out the growing collaborative display illuminating the main floor – all made from your lanterns.
- LIVING LIGHT – Daily, 10am to 4pm | Earth Rangers Studio, Level 2 – Step into the world of nature’s illuminations with a stop at ERS inside the Schad Gallery of Biodiversity. See the phenomenon of bioluminescence – and the science behind it – while taking a closer look at the variety of life that uses light.
- SHARK SLEUTHS! – Daily, 10am to 5:30 pm | Hands-on Biodiversity, Level 2 – Dive into the fascinating world of sharks and learn why these iconic, ocean predators deserve our respect – not our fear!
- SHARK CURIOSITY – Daily, 10am to 4pm | WonderWorks, Level 2 – Enjoy a series of engaging, family-friendly activations that will spark young ones’ curiosity as they encounter the fascinating world of sharks, skates, and rays.
- PUPPET PERFORMANCE – Daily, 1:15 to 1:45pm; 2:30 to 3:00pm | Eaton Court, Level 3 – Step in and experience the magic of local artistry with enchanting puppet shows that bring stories to life, all in an intimate, welcoming, family-friendly environment.
- POP-UP PERFORMANCES – Daily, 12:30-1:00pm; 1:45-2:15pm; 3:00-3:30pm | Chen Court, Level 1 – Local artists perform diverse programs each day to celebrate a winter festival of lights. Shadow puppets, live acrobatics, hands-on drumming workshops and more bring a holiday vibe to your visit.

Canada Strong Pass: free General Admission to the Museum to visitors 3 to 17 years old, and 50% off General Admission to visitors 18 to 24 years old. Valid for visits from December 12, 2025 until January 15, 2026.
Adult General Admission: $26 & up
Senior General Admission Ages 65+: $20.75 & up
Youth Ages 18-24 $9.75 & up
