Shorts in Conversation

Ace Hotel Toronto’s monthly film series ‘Shorts In Conversation’ was developed to create a moment for cinema and dialogue. For June, the hotel has partnered with Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival, to curate a showing of films alongside their makers to discuss the craft, taste, and journey of putting thoughts into moving images. In celebration of Pride month, the screening focusses on queer Asian filmmakers.
In celebration of pride, this program will focus on the abundant stories & narratives crafted by Toronto-based queer Asian filmmakers. Works by Maya Bastian, (Tigress, 2020), Tricia Hagoriles (Huwag Mataranta, 2020) and Tiffany Hsiung (Sing Me a Lullaby, 2020).
All films screening will be accompanied with open captions or English subtitles (all languages will be subtitled, including English).
