Events Description

Choreographed by Bessie Award-winning principal dancer Soledad Barrio and artistic director Martín Santangelo, the extraordinary paintings of Francisco de Goya are brought to life through the language of flamenco dance, vocals, and guitar.

Under the direction and choreography of Santangelo, the award-winning Noche Flamenca is recognized as one the world’s premier touring companies. Formed in 1993 by Santangelo and his wife and principal dancer, Soledad Barrio, the company has toured throughout the globe, including regular seasons in New York City, and performances in North and South America, Europe, and Australia. Hailed by critics for its transcendent and deeply emotional performances, Noche Flamenca has successfully brought to the stage the essence, purity, and integrity of one of the world’s most complex and mysterious art forms, through a diverse theatrical body of work that expresses a rigorous, spell-binding aesthetic that exceeds the highest artistic expectations.

“Internationally recognized as one of Spain’s most respected troupes, this is Flamenco in its pure essence.” (Boston Globe)
