Events Description

So much music, so much fun. Every year in June, music takes over Burlington Downtown and Waterfront. The largest local music event of the year features an eclectic combination of emerging artists, blasts from the past and current performers. A mix of free and ticketed shows continue all over town for nine days. Activities include the Kick-off Concert, Sound of Music Club Series, Grande Festival Parade, free concerts for four days on Father’s Day Weekend, Downtown Streetfest, Silver Series, Children’s Village, carnival and vendors. Bring the whole family, you’ll find something for everyone.

The Grand Parade feature marching bands from across Canada and the United States, the Festival’s official mascot “Maestro”, and whimsical floats and performers. Feel like a kid again with everything from thrill rides, ferris wheels and easy going train rides, there is something for everyone at the Carnival.

There will be  entertainment and activities geared to families with children 12 and under.

Free concert lineup for Father’s Day Weekend, June 14-17, on Burlington’s Downtown and Waterfront. The shows offer up a huge variety of music for all ages including: Matthew Good, Kongos, Scott Helman, Tokyo Police Club, SonReal, The Washboard Union, The Pursuit of Happiness, Natalie MacMaster and Donnell Leahy, Molly Johnson, Elijah Woods x Jamie Fine, Busty and The Bass, Joey Landreth, Jack de Keyzer and so many more.

Events and activities include Club Series – June 10-13, Silver Series presented by Schlegel Villages – June 15, Downtown Streetfest presented by Burlington Downtown Business Association – June 15-17 and Family Zone – June 16-17 plus the Grande Festival Parade on June 16!  Amp up your experience with a VIP upgrade to Sweet Seats and FrontRow for TD Stage shows as well as the Back Deck for the OLG Stage.

Club Series @ Various Venues, Burlington

Downtown Streetfest takes place in the heart of Downtown Burlington from Lakeshore to Maria.
Downtown Streetfest features five live performance areas at Pine, Elgin, Ontario, Maria and John Street on Saturday.

The parade begins at Central Park; travels along Caroline Street to Pearl Street, west on James Street, then turns north on Brant Street, ending at Central High School.

Public transit accessible – A shuttle service is available from the Burlington GO Station (access from the North side off Queensway) to the Downtown John Street Transit Terminal for $3 per person for a round trip. children under 5 are free.
