Events Description
Heritage Skills Development Centre (HSDC) warmly invites you to participate in a series of workshops and a community dialogue in observance of Victims and Survivors of Crime Week 2026, taking place from May 11 to May 14, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at our location: 2387 Eglinton Avenue East, Scarborough.
This year’s theme, “Advancing Victim Support Through Collaboration – The Power of Collaboration,” highlights the importance of working together to better support victims and survivors of crime and their families. Throughout the week, participants will have the opportunity to learn, share, and connect through the following sessions:
• Digital Safety and Cyber Victimization: Understanding and addressing online harassment, scams, and technology-facilitated violence
• Restorative Justice: Exploring compassionate and inclusive approaches that promote accountability and healing for both victims and offenders
• Healing in Community: Using art, storytelling, and connection as tools for recovery and resilience
• Community Dialogue: Bringing together community members, caregivers, and professionals to discuss collaborative approaches to victim support.
These sessions are open to community members, victims and survivors of crime, caregivers, and family members. The workshops are free of charge and will provide a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for learning and connection. Please see attached flyer for more information.
