The Whitby Santa Claus Parade has been held on the first Saturday of December for 50+ years.

An event for all ages, the Whitby Santa Claus Parade showcases over 50 organizations holiday spirit as they walk along the Brock St. parade route. The Whitby Santa Claus Parade was organized by JCI Durham for the first 50 years of the parades history. The Optimist Club of Brooklin, Ontario took over the organization of the parade in 2022 and looks forward to continuing the traditions that JCI Durham started.

Saturday, December 2, 2023 | 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

 

 

Venue

The parade’s starting point is at the intersection of Brock Street North and Manning Road and the parade will travel Southbound on Brock Street and end at the intersection of Brock Street South and Trent Street.

Parking: Road access to Brock St. between Manning Rd. and Burns. St. will be closed for the parade. Please park on side streets along the parade route.

Road Closures:

  • Manning Road from Brock Street to Garden Street (from 7:30 a.m. to approximately 10:30 a.m.)
  • Brock Street from Manning Road to Burns Street (from 10 a.m. to approximately 12 p.m.)
  • Trent Street from Brock Street to Byron Street (from 10 a.m. to approximately 12 p.m.)
  • Byron Street from Trent Street to Burns Street (from 10 a.m. to approximately 12 p.m.)

In addition, all vehicles must be removed from Brock Street by 6 a.m. on Saturday, December 2. Vehicles that are parked on Brock Street after this time will need to be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expenses. If your vehicle has been removed, please contact Durham Regional Police at 905-579-1520.
