Starting November 17, this working orchard, eatery and farmstore is transformed into a winter wonderland where even Scrooge could be found smiling with delight. From the twinkling light displays, farm to fork family style meals and festive cider, spirits and cocktails, Merridale farm is the ideal location visit this season for the perfect Christmas activity.
Enchanting Holiday Walks and Festive Light Displays for the Whole Family
As dusk approaches in Cobble Hill, the Merridale courtyard comes alive with thousands of twinkling lights and holiday displays. Offering a free festive light display for the Cowichan Valley community to enjoy, we warmly welcome you to gather with friends and family.
There’s not a lot of options locally for families to do for free around the holidays. Merridale’s co-owners, Janet and Rick, wanted to give back to our local community and create an amazing atmosphere that brings people together. So, we created this enchanting light show in the courtyard and orchard for everyone to enjoy. You can warm up with mulled craft cider and treats available inside the eatery or simply enjoy the festive atmosphere. It’s really a great family friendly way to kickoff the holiday season.

From November 17th until January 1, the Farmhouse eatery is open from 11:00am – 8:00pm.
Dinner Reservations are available in the eatery daily from 4:00pm -7:00pm.
Festive Lunches and Brunches run 7 days a week from 11:00am to 7:00pm. We don’t offer reservations during the day but we are glad to welcome you! Come right in.
Visit our Holiday Light Up available daily from 11:00am – 8:00pm which is free of charge, our gift to you!
Our Farmhouse Store is the perfect place to find a gift or enjoy a Guided Tasting Experience and is open daily from 11:00am – 8:00pm.
Of course, there are a few exceptions for the holidays:
December 24: 11:00am – 3:00pm (last seating time at 2:00pm)
December 25: Closed
December 31: 11:00am – 9:00pm (last seating time at 8:00pm)
