Banff 
Last weekend, Alberta experienced a severe cold snap, shattering multiple long-standing low-temperature records.
The intense Arctic air front, which commenced on Thursday, led to the setting of several new daily minimum temperature records, surpassing some that had been held for over a hundred years.
Here is a list of all the new temperature records set as per Environment and Climate Change Canada from Thursday, January 11, to Monday, January 15, 2024, during the extreme weather event from stations in each geographic area that was active during the period of record.
