Costco has announced an increase in its annual membership fees effective September 1, 2024.

The fee for U.S. and Canada Gold Star (individual), Business, and Business add-on memberships will rise by $5, bringing the new annual fee to $65.
Additionally, the annual fees for Executive Memberships will go up from $120 to $130, which includes the base membership fee of $65 and an Executive upgrade fee of $65.
The maximum annual 2% reward for Executive members will also increase from $1,000 to $1,250.
Costco says this change will affect approximately 52 million memberships, with more than half being Executive memberships.
Currently, there is a membership offer on the Costco website. Those who sign up for a Gold Star membership will receive $30 off a $100 purchase on costco.ca with the code COSTCO30 and $60 off a $200 purchase online when you purchase an Executive membership with the code COSTCO60. The deal expires on September 1, 2024.
Costco currently operates 882 warehouses globally. This includes 609 locations in the United States and Puerto Rico, 108 in Canada, 40 in Mexico, 33 in Japan, 29 in the United Kingdom, 18 in Korea, 15 in Australia, 14 in Taiwan, seven in China, four in Spain, two in France, and one each in Iceland, New Zealand, and Sweden.
The company also runs e-commerce platforms in several countries, including the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Mexico, Korea, Taiwan, Japan, and Australia.
