Running until March 1, the floral display showcases an array of cyclamen in vibrant burgundy, pink, and magenta hues, symbolizing the plant’s enduring qualities.
The North and Centre Houses, where the display is situated, are adorned with pink floral trees and hanging lanterns, enhancing the beauty of the cyclamen. These are complemented by a mix of kalanchoe, cordyline, colocasia, dypsis, blue star ferns, and other tropical plants, creating an immersive, rejuvenating environment.
The Floral Showhouse, a horticultural landmark since 1885, has been a part of Niagara Parks’ history, with the current structure opening in November 1946.
Located just a short walk from the Canadian Horseshoe Falls, the Showhouse annually grows up to 20,000 plants for its various exhibits, including spring and fall displays, and special events celebrating holidays and community connections. The South House is a treasure trove of tropical plants, with a special focus on a stunning collection of orchids.
Admission is $8 for adults and $5 for children, free for those under 2. Tickets are also included in Niagara Parks’ season passes and attraction packages, offering an alluring escape to visitors seeking to break the monotony of winter with a floral spectacle.
