Edmonton’s famous Candy Cane Lane returns for another year, and yes, there will be sleigh rides this season.

Candy Cane Lane
Since 1968, this free Christmas event that celebrates community spirit and the holidays has been a tradition for many families in and around Edmonton.
Head down to the Crestwood area, where you’ll get to enjoy the residents’ wonderful Christmas decorations. Every year, the neighbourhood gets together to create various holiday displays that are sure to delight every visitor. This year will be no different.
Those who enjoy the lights have two options – drive through or explore on foot. If you like to visit on days with less traffic, the organizers will close the streets to traffic for two nights from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Walk-only nights or open street nights will be held on December 13, and 23.
Sleigh rides will be available on December 12, 13, 14, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 27, and 28, 2025. Advance tickets are required, and tickets are now on sale.
The event is completely free to attend. However, there will be donation bins for non-perishable items that will go to Edmonton’s Food Bank. YEG Candy Cane is the second largest contributor to the Edmonton Food Bank, so consider donating something with you if you decide to attend YEG Candy Cane Lane this year.
